Garden Visitors

One of the many pleasures of planting native plants is the increased diversity of butterflies and moths. Maybe I would have seen more of these this year anyway, but I am going to give credit to all the native plants. These pictures come from the Las Pilitas native plant nursery website. All have been spotted in my yard this summer.

Anise Swallowtail

Cabbage Moth

Blue Hairstreak

Skipper

Buckeye

Carol, get some lantana, or stop on by. Ours are full of skippers.
I guess this isn't considered "all right" anymore, but the kids love chasing them and catching them like we did as kids.
