Construction Update

Just a few recent developments in the project that I wanted to show everyone.

First, the electrician installed the back patio light outside the Aunt's door.
It has a motion detector and multi- directional lights.

Next, we had a glitch in the order of the wood floor so it was taking longer than expected. Meanwhile, we happened to talk to someone who had recently done their floor using colored epoxy over concrete. After talking about it a little, we decided that it would actually be a better floor material for a room that the dog's spend so much time in. There is a heater and the walls are insulated, so the coldness of the concrete floor isn't really a problem. So here it is, in a green that matches the walls. In this first picture you can also see the hall light and the fact that the electricity is now working. Hurray!

APRIL FOOLS!!!

The light fixture was installed in the wrong place by mistake. It is the security light fixture that goes on the corner of the addition that is in the camelia garden. It can light up the west 40 if need be. It has now been reinstalled in the right location (not prominent) and El Esposo has done some adjusting so that it can help to deter any unwanted activity in the more remote part of the yard.

The green floor really is epoxy. It is a moisture barrier that was needed before the wood floor is installed. Floor installation should be some time this week. Maybe even today. And that is no April Fooling!

Ha! You got me. I was thinking... you know, that's a lot of look with the matching floor! Ahem. Wood will be nice!

As for the lamp...uh, I liked it! lol

Thanks again for coming up, both you and Moose! We just adore you. I forgive you for not bringing Aunt Betty, but she was missed. :)
