Hummmmmm Baby! Giants by the Bay!

It's baseball season! Today was opening day of the season, but not all teams had a game. Tomorrow is the opening day for the Giants. El Esposo is so excited he can barely contain himself. He's been walking around singing, listening to sports radio, and planning the way we will take in every moment of the day (including a now discarded plan to get there at 5 am to watch the broadcast of the morning show!). Now cooler heads prevail and we will start our day at 5 with Murph and Mac, but we will be at home in our nice warm bed at that hour. However, we will be on the road early so we can savor every minute of the day, the ambiance, the experience!

Speaking of boys and baseball, we went to watch our cousin's son play Little League last week. (Mia, the cousin of the loom). What fun! They have made the game much better for the kids with coaches pitching, limited number of at bats during an inning regardless of outs, rotation of kids through positions, and other adaptations to the abilities of new players. Even so, as the game wound down we could tell that the kids were reaching the very edge of their attention spans. Some actually had gone over the edge and were clearly ready for the hot dog and soda part of the sport!
